A New Chapter

Forgive me internet (the few that would even notice this), for I have sinned… It’s been 4 years since my last publication. So much life has happened in those 4 years. So much… and then not so much.

Here’s a brief-ish recap…
2021: My oldest godchild graduated high school, so I took her on a trip to Ohio. We rode roller coasters, went ziplining, went to the zoo and aquarium, and ate lots of food! Started a new job. Spent a week in December at the beach. Best time I’ve ever had at the beach. Had my first therapy session.

2022: My best friend had a baby, so I gained a nephew. Took a few trips to Tennessee after my godchild moved there. Took a roadtrip to Michigan. Bought a house. Spent thanksgiving in Georgia. Got a dog.

2023: Took too many pictures of my dog. Took a trip to Maryland; finally ate a lobster roll. Participated in a 5K Gleaux Run and got some bad blisters.

2024: Got more heavily involved in a non-profit that I love. Took a road trip with my sister from Louisiana to Georgia, Georgia to Maryland with a pitstop in Virginia, Maryland to Michigan, Michigan to Tennessee, Tennessee back to Louisiana (and with very little photo evidence). Both nephews graduated high school. Got a second tattoo. Started the Dave Ramsey Baby Steps to get out of debt. Learned to bake sourdough bread. Started playing with air-dry clay and love it. Became a great-aunt, and love that even more!

I feel like I’m missing some trips to Georgia there, but I don’t have pictures to prove it.

And here we are now. The first day of 2025. The first day I’ve taken the time to write anything in months. Maybe even over a year. And I miss it.

I’ve decided to archive all of my older posts, still available here, and start fresh. Something I’ve done a lot of recently. Starting fresh. I truly believe 2025 is the beginning of a new chapter. I have a clear, if not somewhat chaotic, vision of what I want this year to look like, which is new for me. I have some goals, and I want to work extra hard to reach them.

One of those goals is to start blogging more often. Hopefully, it will encourage me to continue writing in my book. Maybe I’ll even share some of the projects I’ll be working on this year. Who knows what I will do here this year. I still haven’t decided if I’m going to share these to Facebook or if I’ll just press submit and let whoever is meant to see it find them. Maybe it will be a little bit of both.

Only time will tell…
